What's in a Field Type
Your database is comprised of fields. With eUnify you have a rich set of field types to choose from. These field types have a set of attributes that behave differently depending on the type. An email field displays as a link that opens our email client when clicked. A phone number field automatically dials the number when using a PDA or smartphone.

Fields also come with automatic validation. An email field ensures that only valid email addresses are entered. A numeric field can only contain numbers. This seems simple, and it is, but try doing that with a spreadsheet!
You have total control over the fields in your database. Change the name of a field or add a hint for how the field is to be used. Update the field's attributes such as the precision of a numeric field, the length of a textbox or the format of a date. You can even change the field type after the field is created preserving the integrity of your database.
Calculated Fields

With calculated fields you can create a field that calculates the tax and extended price of a product, shows a link that when clicked, opens a map with driving directions, or calculates an expiration date based on some other field.
This example creates a button that when clicked, automatically sends an email to your prospect with a copy of the sales contract. The sky's the limit to what you can accomplish with eUnify.
