Proactive Alerts
Database reminders provide the ability for your database to inform you when appointments are approaching, important tasks are past due, or a meeting date has changed from 1:00pm to 3:30pm the next day.
Our alerts can either be scheduled to run on a recurring basis, say every Monday and Wednesday, or can be event-driven such as when an individual record is added, changed or deleted. Either way, you have the power to be automatically kept in the loop.

Event-Driven Notifications
Notifications send out emails when an individual record is created, changed, or deleted. Additional user-defined criteria can be added to this, such as send the notification when a record is changed and the status changes from active to hold. The emails are sent to specified portal user(s), specified external email addresses, or to email addresses contained on the particular record.
For you technical folks, notifications are essentially user-defined database triggers that fire based on user-defined criteria. All the technical details are hidden from the user so you can create powerful notification mechanisms without having any technical knowledge of databases or database triggers.
Scheduled Subscriptions
With subscriptions you can automatically send an email containing the results of a database view. By default, the email contains the database view in grid form. You can also merge the records from the view with a database form and show this information instead of a grid.
A subscription can also create a PDF containing the view's results in grid form or mail merge form. Using this capability it is simple to create a subscription that can generate a printable bill of lading or an invoice.
Automatically Update Field Values

Database Actions enable you to update the values of selected fields either before or after the reminder is generated. This allows you to:
- Calculate the finance charge before an invoice is generated
- Update a status field so a late fee will only be applied once
- Extend the due date when a 1st past due notice is sent
